beauty basics series

Soooooooooooo as many of you know from my last post "beautymark debut photoshoot" i had a photoshoot with all of my beautiful ladies to showcase my makeup talent. as a result of this i was inspired from all of them to begin a series- "beauty basics".

beauty basics will contain insider tips and tricks as well as steps for applying and perfecting our basic beauty routines. things like concealing under eye circles, appying falsies and filling in eyebrows.

every beauty guru has their tips and tricks and i think that it is good to see a variation of them. i personally have done a lot of trial and errors on myself. so these would be my own and hopefully they'll help you ;)

beautymark debut photoshoot

to say that saturday was the best day of my life is a complete understatement!!

it was the first of many photoshoots for beautymark by yuli- a fabulous up and coming makeup company by yours truly :)

i gathered all of my beautiful friends and brought them to my humble abode. here we met with the best photog ever - AMON FOCUS- www.amonfocusphotography.com

after a long day of music, bbq, makeup and models came a swarm of gorgeous pictures showcasing my work.

this was really a dream come true for me and after saturday i want to do nothing but move full speed ahead.

lashes lashes lashes!!!!

ooohhhhhhh who doesnt love long, thick, beautiful lashes????? i KNOW you do and so do i :)

the key to every great look, be it everyday or fashion glam, are in the lashes. they can really make or break a look, from small wipies ones to full va va voom ones.

and what better tool to get your the lash dream then MASCARA!!!

now there are a plethora of mascaras out there- from inexpensive to pricey pricey ones- that will get the job done.

here are some of my favs:

in order of appearance: Christian Dior- DiorShow, Cover Girl- Lash Blast, L'oreal- telescopic and Avon- Astonishing Lengths

mascara is great for accentuating what momma gave us, but when you want that extra bam then falsies are definitely the way to go.

i'm a falsie fanatic and if i had a little more time in my morning rush i would def wear them everyday. but it also helps me save that extra touch for special occasions.

so add some paint and a little glue and flutter those beautiful bats ;)
