hi dolls!
if you're in NYC then you've noticed our abrupt change of weather. yes, fall is here. and with it comes new colors, new styles, new trends in the fashion world.
well today will be all about the new trends in the makeup world for the fall/winter
- defined eyebrows
i am ssooooo happy that thick and defined brows have come back.
i'm sorry but i'm not a fan of the pencil thin brows that some girls are rocking mmmmmm no pass!
to achieve this look you just need a brown shadow or cream shadow and a slanted liner brush. i stay away from pencils because they leave a very harsh look. i plan to put a "how to" soon so stay tuned
- bright lips
what can be more perfect than a nice lippie?? NOTHING
so it's no surprise that this fall's fav trend for me is the bright lips. the best part is that you don't need more than this!! seriously- how quick will your morning beauty routine be now?!
some perfect lippies for the fall are:
- NYX's Eucalyptus
- NYX's Margherita
- Prestige's Fatal Red

- nude, nude, nude
this is my absolute fav trend!! im a nude makeup kind of girl so i'm in love <3 href="http://www.beautyymark.org/2010/09/drugstore-treasure.html">you'll find great ones here. keep the eyes neutral with brown and beige tones. remember to use brown liners instead of your usual black.
- smokey & heavy lined eye
who doesn't love a classic smokey eye???
this season's trend involves more eyeliner than eyeshadow. smudged and messy instead of neat and perfect.
take you're favorite black eyeshadow and dust it on your lids, lightly!! then trace the rims of your eyes with a waterproof eyeliner and smudge. remember that it doesn't have to be perfect and don't forget to line your upper and lower water lines :)
- coppers, metallics, reds
ooooh the "have fun with it" look of this season. i love it love it love it love it.
there isn't much explanation here except to not be afraid to try some metallics out.
some key pointers are:
- do not do full eyelid in metallic- we're trying to be trendy not clowny :)
- find shades that compliment your skin tones
- keep your blush along the same tones so you have a uniformed look and not turn clowny
those are this season's makeup trends. what do you think? have a fav? leave me a comment and let me know.
xoxo
